bulletThere are two types of Gandhinagar cancellations in English shown here in this exhibit.  The first is the English version of the special cancellation, on a cover with the 12 anna stamp.  This cancellation was dated 14 DEC 48.
bulletThe second cover carries a regular cancellation from the Gandhi Nagar post office, dated 1948 14 DEC 4:15 PM.  A slogan mark that says FREE INDIA STANDS FOR WORLD PEACE ties the 1½ anna Gandhi stamp to the cover.
