As with any publication, this virtual stamp exhibit draws extensively on material from several published resources, not the very least of which are articles in the American Philatelist, the Journal of the American Topical Association and literature from several postal authorities. Much of the postal history tidbits come from one excellent resource- the delightful little handbook from the Czechoslovakian authors Ludvik Mucha and Bohuslav Hlinka: The Scott Stamp Atlas.
When it comes to modern computers and computing, it hard to escape giving credit to the omnipresent Microsoft Corporation. Besides using FrontPage to create these WebPages (and checking them with Internet Explorer), I have also quoted text from sections of Encarta and Bookshelf.
